Upcoming events
Last updated on 16-Jun-09. All times and gig dates subject to change. We strongly suggest calling venues on show days to confirm the shows before getting on the road. This is actually a good idea with any show you go to see, not just with small bands or venues.

Since TSOM has gigged on a very infrequent basis in the last few years, we've decided to expand this section to include gigs by bands featuring TSOM members. Here is a schedule of gigs with different groups as we know them:

The Sisters: Nothing scheduled at this time. Thanks for checking in.

The Suspects (featuring Sean on vocals): Dates come up periodically. Email
SuspectsDC@aol.com for details.

The
Screwz (featuring Bryon Bishop on drums): Usually every Thursday at The U-turn club, 11th and U Streets NW, Washington, DC.

Current News
More TSOM web spaces!
In addition to our long-held web space here and at UBL, we're happy to report that there's two new music websites featuring us for you to check out. First, we're now featured at MySpace.com, you can see our snazzy page entered by Sean by clicking here. Also under construction is a downloadable tracks and profile page at MP3.com Australia, which we'll post the URL for once we have some more mixes from the CD encoded.

TSOM Recordings Out! (Besides the CD)
In what is yet even more proof that the Sisters of Morrissey never dies, rather it just keeps evolving, a 'veterans lineup' of past TSOM members (all of them in their 30s & not keen to do even a 30 day tour!) convened over the summer of 2003 for a one-day session to record for a tribute to British rockers The Associates & their singer Billy MacKenzie (r.i.p.), and then again on December 7th of 2003 to record "Mad Jack" by The Chameleons UK. The Associates song is called "Give Me Time" and features Bob Banasik on bass, Dave Smith on drums, and Rick Stein on guitar, as well as Sean handling the bulk of the vocals (aided by the able bodied Steve Garland tackling the last section as well as engineering). Availability is very limited, so we suggest signing up with associates@yahoogroups.com if you are keen to get it. It is called "Affectionate Bunch (Vol. 2)" (a play on the Associates song "The Affectionate Punch") and features e-list members ("the bunch", see how that works?) and their sometimes very brilliant contributions. The Chameleons session brought out a different veterans pool, with Mike Jetton joining Rick, Bob, Dave and Sean for the recording session.

Correction: Elevator Music is still around!
Regular visitors to the TSOM site reported to us a while back that the link for Elevator Music, the label that produced the Stranglers tribute CD on which we play, was down and there were reports that Elevator was no longer in business. After checking the link, running several searches and reading several articles, we reported that here on our site. Fortunately, we've since heard from Fernando, the head honcho of Elevator, that those reports are untrue. Which we are very relieved to hear! Likewise, the "No More Heroes" disc is still available, so you can get one from us or Elevator. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

The triumphant return of UBL and ArtistDirect!
Actually, they never went anywhere. We just let our account lapse while we changed web service providers, devoted our time to working on the CD and took care of all the other matters pressing on us since 1998. But now we are back in action and pleased to announce the revitalization of our association with the Ultimate Band List (UBL) and Artist Direct, a branch of UBL that formed in the last couple of years and has become the avenue of choice for artists of all levels to connect with their audience without having to deal with the horrors of major record labels (of which there are many). We are very happy to be hooked up with such a great site again, and are currently investigating the idea of setting up an online store with them, since they can accept all types of payments. More details on that will be forthcoming as they are finalized. Meanwhile, we are also working on revitalizing our other big web membership, that would be the independent artist circle IndieRing.

Back, where we started. (Here we go 'round again...)
In the spirit of the prevalent reunion frenzy (usually featuring 1 or 2 old members max), Sean decided to take the reunion bands to task while further cementing the idea that nobody cares whether old members are in the actual band or not. Some of you may remember that Sean co-founded a somewhat successful DC area punk band called The Suspects. Well, some time ago Sean re-organized the Suspects with one of the original guitarists, and they toured the US east coast as well as a 5 country tour of Europe! Unlike some reunions, however, this group is still moving forward and keeping busy. You can find out about their latest endeavors by e-mailing SuspectsDC@aol.com.
